Medusa's Universe

I love to write fantasy. I hope to complete a novel one day, as I have so many in my head. When I was on vacation, I was writing almost every day and this amazing female character developed. Eventually, I started dreaming about her and the story surrounding her. I finally decided to draw her as I saw her.

 

She's this complicated character with so many sides and stories. She's got her dark and twisted side, but the energy of an entire universe inside her. To capture her darkness, I created her image with snakes in her hair, like the famous mythical villain, Medusa.

You can see the universe drawn inside of her body. And there's a crown on her head to signify her power and importance. She doesn't have feet, not only because they're challenging to draw, but because her feet are the earth she walks on. And she doesn't have hands because only power and energy protrude from her. It's a strange concept. Wasn't easy to draw, but I love it.
