Actions speak louder than words

That's what my mother told me,

and it's a lesson I learned along the way

Kindness speaks louder than hate

and you teach others how to treat you

I lead with anything else, I'm led astray

But what do you do

when someone you love seems to be lost

and doesn't want to be found

Wanna be that life raft

that carries them to shore but sometimes

they just leave you drowned

Hope can take over your fears

but don't give up any part of you

Even when they say that's not what they ask

Lead with your heart and your mind

where the two meet and make sense to you

Don't feed emotions that help build a mask

I don't know when, where or how

but somewhere I found my strength

and I'm stronger than you

Not because you need me

Not because you asked me

But because I need me too

I am stronger than you

I am stronger than I ever knew

I'm sorry I'm stronger than you

But I can't let you leave me drowned
